ISO 9001 describes the basics of quality management system of an organization. ISO 14001
It is an international standard that defines a process for control and improvement of an organization's environmental performance. ISO 14001 is the specification developed by the international organization for standardization (ISO) of Genava, Switzerland as a part of ISO 14000 services for environment management systems. The second edition of ISO 14001, ISO14001:2004, was issued as an international standard on Nov. 15, 2004. ISO 14001 requires a system for conduct of environment management by requiring the organization to define an environmental policy and establish sixteen management procedures that support the policy. ISO 14000 series address various issues of environmental management. The first two standards ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 14004:2004 deals with environment management system (EMS).

GMP Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) is a term that is used internationally for control and management of manufacturing testing and overall quality control of pharmaceutical and food products. GMP ensures that products are consistently produced and controlled to the quality standards appropriate to their use. ISI marks
ISI means Indian standard institute which was set up by Central govt. of India in 1947. Its main purpose was to maintain and standardize the quality of different products. In 1986 the above said ISI was named as Bureau of Indian Standards or BIS. BIS certifies products with ISI marks. BIS has list of products which effects the safety and health of consumers for the products which are of mass consumption. These products include packaged drinking water, oils, vegetables, cement, LPG etc. The pre requisite's for obtaining an ISI mark are that the manufacturer has the necessary manufacturing and testing facilities for the products and who agrees to follow the quality assurance scheme of BIS.
